Welcome to our Resource Hub. This page gathers trusted organizations, tools, and community networks to support families, caregivers, educators, and autistic individuals. These resources include information on diagnosis, treatment, education, advocacy, and community connection — both locally in Greater Cincinnati and nationally.

    • Autism Speaks Resource Guide
      A national nonprofit that provides a state-by-state resource guide for services and support. Their website offers toolkits, educational materials, advocacy initiatives, and local community programs to help families at every stage of their autism journey.

    • Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN)
      A nonprofit organization run by and for autistic people. ASAN promotes self-advocacy, inclusion, and disability rights. They publish policy briefs, training materials, and easy-to-read resources that center the voices of autistic individuals.

    • Autism Network International (ANI)
      One of the earliest autistic-led advocacy groups, focused on neurodiversity and autistic community-building. ANI is known for Autreat, an annual retreat designed by and for autistic people, emphasizing acceptance and peer support.

    • Autism-Europe
      A Brussels-based international organization representing over 80 autism advocacy associations across Europe. Autism-Europe works on awareness campaigns, research, policy change, and improving accessibility and inclusion for autistic individuals.

    • World Autism Organization
      A global nonprofit that connects autism organizations worldwide to share best practices, resources, and advocacy strategies. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for autistic individuals and their families across different cultures and countries.

    • Reading Rockets – Autism Resources
      A resource guide with articles, toolkits, and links for parents and teachers. Reading Rockets covers topics such as literacy, classroom strategies, social skills, and links to top autism organizations.

    • Children’s National – Family Resources
      Provides caregivers with practical support, expert information, and referral options. Families can find guidance on navigating diagnosis, accessing therapy, and connecting with local programs.

    • AACAP Autism Resource Center
      Developed by the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, this center provides fact sheets, FAQs, and educational materials to help families better understand autism, treatment options, and co-occurring conditions.

    • CDC Autism Resources
      Offers comprehensive public health information, including early signs of autism, screening and diagnosis tools, data and research findings, and resources for living with ASD. The CDC also provides training and materials for healthcare providers and educators.

    • Internet Safety Guide for People with ASD
      Guide offering practical advice to help individuals better understand the risks and enjoy a safer, more positive online experience.

    • MyAutismTeam
      A free social networking platform specifically for parents of children with autism. Members can share experiences, ask questions, and connect with other families navigating similar challenges. The site also includes a directory of providers recommended by families.

    • Autism Highway
      An interactive website created by families for families. Autism Highway features event listings, directories of autism-friendly professionals, and creative resources such as games, art, and activities designed to celebrate neurodiversity.

LOCAL & OHIO RESOURCES

    • Autism Society of Greater Cincinnati
      Provides support groups, family workshops, advocacy initiatives, and social events for families in the region.

    • Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities
      Offers early intervention, family support, care coordination, and lifelong services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

    • Aktion Club (Kiwanis)
      A service club for adults with disabilities, sponsored by Kiwanis International. Members participate in volunteer projects, develop leadership skills, and gain community engagement opportunities in a supportive environment.

    • Hearts In the Park
      A community-based organization that provides recreational and social opportunities for families and individuals with developmental disabilities.

    • Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence (OCALI)
      A statewide hub for training, professional development, and resources for educators, service providers, and families. Focuses on improving outcomes for autistic individuals through evidence-based practices.

    • Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities
      Provides statewide programs, Medicaid waivers, early intervention, and vocational opportunities for people with developmental disabilities.

    • Learning Aid Ohio
      Connects families with trained tutors who provide supplemental in-person learning support for students on IEPs. Helps students stay on track academically while honoring their individual learning needs.

    • STABLE Account
      A tax-advanta      ged savings and investment account for individuals with disabilities, created under the federal ABLE Act. Funds can be used for essential expenses such as education, healthcare, housing, and employment training, while preserving eligibility for government benefits.
